Kampong Ayer

Kampong Ayer is a village on water in Malay. In addition to this, it is the oldest settlement in the country which is actually 40 tiny villages. Visitors and commuters can easily connect through a boardwalk or using small boats.

Kuala Belait 

It is the second largest city in Brunei Bandar Seri Begawan. It is located 15 km away from the western border of the country with Malaysia. At this period of time, the weather is pleasant with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 31°C.  This season is ideal for experiencing natural beauty and doing activities like hiking, river cruises and wildlife watching. Apart from that, this month you can also experience several festivals and events like Chinese New Year, Brunei National Day and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Transportation: The public transportation in Brunei is very cheap and affordable. The bus and taxi fares range from $1 to $3 for a single trip. 

Traveling tips

Dress nicely – Brunei is a Muslim country. Hence, it is important to dress nicely while visiting this place. Men should not wear shorts and women should wear long pants or skirts that are not above their knees.

Bring cash – It is important to carry little cash with you if you are traveling to any place as UPI payments or cards are not accepted everywhere due to network or other issues. 

Alcohol – Drinking and sale of alcohol is prohibited in this country.
